University of the Arts - Talent Works

Excited to be taking part as a volunteer Industry Expert this morning at UAL’s Talent Works pop-up creative studio Business & Innovation event today

⚡️Talent Works is a pop-up content creation studio for London College of Communication and Camberwell College of Arts students to work with local charities, social enterprises and community groups. Students are paid for their work and clients receive it pro-bono.

💡With briefs from amazing organisations working on tough social issues. The Talent Works studio will design and develop websites, make films and animations, write copy, design comms materials, take photos, and develop social media assets to help our clients do more.

🤝The project is aimed at students who would otherwise struggle to get their first paid creative job, perhaps because they are disadvantaged by their background, have caring responsibilities or no family support, or don’t have the networks. Covid-19 has also really impacted access to creative opportunities so this is a great chance for students to put their studies into practice. They’ll gain experience working with real clients, develop their soft skills, and have new work for their portfolios.

💡To give the students an even better experience, and to enhance the quality of work delivered to charity clients. Volunteers can have a range of skills. We want web developers, designers, writers, film and image makers, but also creatives who can help with ideas, project managers who can make things happen, and account people to support client relationships.
