Excited to be kicking off September chosen as an Industry Mentor for the 'Upgrade Your Future Path 2021' Portfolio reviews, supporting Graduate Engagement at LCC ๐Ÿค

Get one-on-one career advice from our industry professionals.

Building a strong portfolio is key to entering the creative industries.

Our 1-1 Portfolio Reviews are intensive, 25-minute sessions that support you to explore effective ways of showcasing your work.

From showreels to CVs, simply bring along the work or questions youโ€™d like to discuss with one of our industry professionals who can offer top tips and useful advice.

Please read through the information on the advisors below before booking.

Who can take part?

Our 1-1 Portfolio Reviews are only open to students who have graduated from LCCโ€™s undergraduate courses in 2021. You must have registered for Upgrade Your Future Path in order to book a slot.

How does it work?

- choose 1 adviser that fits your future career aspirations from the list below

- book a ticket according to your preferred advisor, date and time. Spaces are limited, so please ensure that you only book 1 session per person

Sessions will be available on the following days:

  • Wednesday 8 September, 10am โ€“ 4pm BST

  • Wednesday 15 September, 10am โ€“ 4pm BST

  • Wednesday 22 September, 10am โ€“ 4pm BST

- book your ticket by Friday 3 September at 5pm.

- within 3 working days from booking your ticket, you will receive an outlook calendar invite that will include a Teams guest link to your session.

- on the day make sure you arrive 5 minutes early for the meet and greet. A Graduate Engagement team member will be there to take attendance and greet you.

- if you can no longer attend your session, please let the Graduate Engagement team at least 24 hours before the time

- the session lasts 25 minutes, make sure you come prepared with your portfolio or a career question that youโ€™d like to discuss.

- if you would like to keep in touch with your advisor, feel free to ask for their contact details before you leave the session.

Who are the people who run these sessions?

Sessions will be led by many of LCCโ€™s current industry mentors including:

Peter Jackson

Specialism: Graphic design, advertising, branding

After 25 years working as a graphic designer, Peter joined a top London ad agency specialising in visual identity and branding. There he worked across a broad range of commercial sectors as well as NGOs and purpose-driven projects. After several years there, he then repositioned a graphic design studio as a branding agency. Peter is an alumnus of BA Graphic Design at LCP (LCC's predecessor).

Irida Zhonga

Specialism: Film, TV, animation

Irida is an award-winning director and creative producer whose artistic expertise lie in mixed media and stop motion animation. She graduated from LCC with a degree in Film and Television and has worked as an Assistant Producer in the TV industry for the BBC, Channel 4, and ITV, and as a director, creating commercials and branded content for clients such as Marks&Spencer, the Guardian, TED-Ed, the Olympics and Lancรดme. She holds an MA in Film and Contemporary Audiovisual Media from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands and her films have been screened and awarded at international film festivals such as the BFI London Film Festival, Annecy, and TIFF amongst others.

Katrina Young

Specialism: PR, advertising, design management

Katrina is an alumna of Marketing and Advertising at UAL and is Director of KYC Consulting Digital. After a successful career in project management and marketing, Katrina now consults and coaches agencies, corporations and business owners, with management consulting solutions. She has been featured in Forbes, Psychologies Magazine and The Times.

Sayali Goyal

Specialism: Publishing, art direction, branding, design

Sayali is a cultural curator and art director, and the Founding Editor of independent publication, Cocoa & Jasmine. With her unique background in textiles, travel, design marketing, and publishing, she also works on content, curation, art direction, and brand consulting for cultural institutions and independent design brands, and is a visiting design lecturer in Delhi.

Rohit Sharma

Specialism: Illustration and visual media, advertising, art direction

Rohit graduated from Illustration and Visual Media at LCC and is now an integrated designer at The & Partnership. He has worked within advertising, as an art director and integrated designer, for brands like Toyota, BMW, Absolut and Coca Cola. His design practice involves creating integrated campaigns across different media and his work has won multiple awards and been exhibited several times in London and India.

Jo Mitchell Long

Specialism: Graphic design, journalism, photography, publishing, advertising, communications, fine art.

Jo graduated from LCCโ€™s predecessor, London College of Printing, with a BA in Graphic Design. After working as art director in major publishing houses, she founded Dib Dab Art Club to inspire children to get creative and encourage greater art education in schools.

Paloma Tendero

Specialism: Photography, fine art

Paloma is a visual artist, working across photography and sculpture. She is a graduate of the MA Photography at London College of Communication and a BA (Hons) Fine Arts at Complutense University in Madrid. She has exhibited and participated in various artist in residence programs in the UK and Europe, such as Sarabande, The Lee Alexander McQueen Foundation in London and The Austrian Federal Chancellery in cooperation with KulturKontakt in Vienna. She is also part of health and wellbeing through the arts communities.

Debbie Anzalone

Specialism: Film, TV, interaction design arts, graphic design

Debbie is an award-winning director who has made work across documentary films, drama and commercials. She received an MA Communication Art & Design from the Royal College of Art and now teaches on the MA Information Experience Design there and the BA Interaction Design Arts at LCC. Debbie has also directed a number of high profile commercial and social issue campaigns with companies such as, Microsoft, Google, YouTube, Channel 4 and Samsung, TATE, Mind, Citizens UK and more.

Gil Zissu

Specialism: Interaction design, product design, UX/UI

Gil is a digital designer based in London, originally from Israel. He began working as a self-taught designer, before completing a foundation course in graphic design at LCC. He currently works as a product designer at Arrival, crafting purpose-driven digital products and has designed digital experiences for start-ups and global brands such as Roli, Barclays, McKinsey and Elton John.

Annie Masciave

Specialism: Photography, fine art, fashion

Annie Masciavรจ is the Lead of Creative Production at Infarm, Berlin. Her goal is to help set up the new Brand Team and turn this pioneering company into a household name. She was previously Snr Art Buyer and Producer at Made Thought, and in the past few years, sheโ€™s also worked with a wide range of clients as a freelance consultant and editor. You can find some of her work in Interview and Dazed & Confused, as well as for brands including Bvlgari and Asos. When sheโ€™s not working, you can find her mentoring emerging talent - she has recently collaborated with Creative Review, Brand Impact Awards, D&AD, Mentor Black Business and The Dots among others.
